Benjamin Crocker, MD

Benjamin Crocker, MD, went to Medical School on the GI bill at Ohio State University, and completed his training in psychiatry at LAC-USC medical center in Los Angeles, where he participated in several studies regarding the treatment of anxiety disorders. For about a decade before moving to Maine he had a private practice in Los Angeles County focusing on the treatment of anxiety disorders, as well as holding several community psychiatry jobs. He moved to Maine in 1995 and has worked on and off at Maine Medical Center and a variety of clinical and administrative settings in southern and central Maine. One of his favorite clinical
activities is coaching people to do in-vivo desensitization for phobias and OCD. Aside from his role as psychiatrist at the MMC psychiatric partial hospital and soon to be Mental Health IOP, Dr. Crocker maintains a small consultation practice in Portland.
