This 2-day course on clinical supervision takes place on Monday, October 23, 2017 and Friday, October 27, 2017, and includes 6 hours on each of the following domains (one domain per day):
- Skills Assessment and Self-Evaluation
- Case Studies and Clinician Self-Care
Supervisors and Providers of Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse Treatment
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Teresa Valliere has 20 years’ experience as clinician, clinical supervisor and trainer. She was the director of a women’s residential substance abuse services, led an Assertive Community Treatment team, supervised a detoxification and rehabilitation program, and facilitated several groups in mental health and addiction settings. She served as adjunct faculty for North Carolina State University, University of New England and University of Southern Maine in social work and counseling. She is currently adjunct faculty at and Maine Medical Center in the Psychiatry Residency program. She has expertise in trauma and recovery, relational theory, motivational interviewing, group facilitation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and supervision. Teresa maintains a private practice in Portland serving adults. Her focus is on caring for the caregiver through training, supervision and counseling for people in mental health, addiction, medical, legal and other helping professions.
