CCSME Expressive Tools Series | Expressive Tools to Treat Anxiety
This second workshop in our series is designed to educate participants in art and music techniques and provide practical skills for effective assessment and intervention with clients experiencing symptoms of anxiety. Significant attention will be paid to the mind-body connection with numerous opportunities for hands-on, art-based techniques. Participants will gain new skills and interventions to assist in the treatment of clients dealing with anxiety.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
Bodhi Simpson, LCPC, ATR, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maine and a Registered Art Therapist with the Art Therapy Credentialing Board. She earned her graduate degree in Clinical Art Therapy at Springfield College. She currently serves as the President of the Maine Mental Health Counselors Association. She also provide supervision for art therapists in Maine working toward their ATR certification. Read more…
Kate Beever, MA, MT-BC, originally from Gorham, Maine, studied at the USM School of Music and then worked for Frank Glazer before moving to New York City. She is now a Board Certified Music Therapist with a Master’s degree in Music Psychotherapy from New York University. While in New York, she interned at Beth Israel Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She returned to the fresh air of Maine to open Maine Music & Health. Read more…
