This presentation provides a review of both normal and abnormal brain function and examines the relationships between brain dysfunction, psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders. The building blocks of the brain, basic brain anatomy, and the role of stress on the brain are also explored in this 1-hour course.

Carl Salzman, MD, Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts Mental Health Center.
