$0.00

Description

October 29, 2024 | 12:00-1:00pm

Description:

Palliative care delivery is at times perceived as similar to hospice care.  This misconception is slowly changing but much needs to be done to change society’s view and health care provider perceptions.  Palliative care works in partnership with primary care providers and specialists to provide expertise in exploring patient goals of care, possible code status clarification and if needed symptom management. The goal is to enhance the quality of life in individuals with serious chronic illness at every stage of life.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will learn how palliative care is unique from hospice care.
  2. Participants will gain clarity on code status and symptom management.
  3. Participants will explore the partnership between palliative care, primary care, and specialists to provide expertise and enhance quality of life in individuals with serious chronic illness at every stage of life.
