There are multiple pathways of recovery. For a long time, most people have been familiar with AA as the primary way to address addiction. But, there are multiple pathways of recovery. Come learn more about what some of these other pathways are, including SMART recovery, Recovery Dharma, Wellbriety, to name just a few.

3) Why we are allies want to be open to and supportive to multiple pathways.

Kim Capone-Sprague Kim  is a person in long term recovery and the Recovery Coach Coordinator at PRCC. KiM feels most grounded when out in nature, whether it be ocean or mountains, and aspires to run the Beach to Beacon and climb Mt. Katahdin. Her favorite activities include going to CrossFit and putting together puzzles, the juxtaposition of these two activities is not lost on her.

Alex Crowcroft Alex is an artist in recovery and a volunteer at the PRCC. I run a painting group, poetry and spoken word group, and The Artist’s Way, which is a course in discovering and rediscovering your creative self. Creativity heals; lets share this with our communities.

Kris Sullivan Kris is a woman in recovery. She has found comfort and success in nontraditional recovery practices, including yoga, meditation, and Recovery Dharma.

Eric Brewer Eric is a facilitator for a local SMART Recovery meeting. I live a self-directed, goal oriented, values based life. This is what recovery means to me.
