MaineGeneral Health Mental Health & Substance Abuse

MaineGeneral Health provides comprehensive services for adults through a network of inpatient, outpatient and community-based programs. Adolescents and children are served by counselors at MaineGeneral Counseling. The Edmund N. Ervin Pediatric Center provides a variety of services for children. Services also are linked to other mental health providers and support services in Kennebec and Somerset counties.

Milestone Recovery

The mission of Milestone Recovery is to provide the best quality of services to empower individuals with substance use and behavioral health disorders to attain stability, dignity, recovery and an enhanced quality of life. We offer emergency shelter, medically managed detoxification, community-based outreach and health services, housing assistance, and long-term treatment in Portland and Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

New England Association of Recovery Court Professionals

The New England Association of Recovery Court Professionals (NEARCP), is a non-profit consortium of professionals working with and in recovery courts across six states:  Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.  Our members work across all recovery court dimensions and include judges, lawyers, treatment providers, case managers, probation and law enforcement officers, and other professionals.

Oxford County Mental Health Services proudly serves the people of Oxford County, promoting community wellness and empowering individuals by providing innovative, person-centered behavioral health services and education.

St. Joseph College Counseling and Health Centers

The Counseling Center provides down-to-earth, confidential mental health services geared specifically to college students and provided by licensed professionals. Addressing a range of concerns – from adjustment and relationship difficulties to anxiety and mood disorders, the Counseling Center supports students navigating their college experience, ultimately reducing the impact of interpersonal, behavioral, and psychological difficulties that could interfere with a student’s quality of life and learning.

Seaside Family Health Care

Seaside Family Health Care is an open-access primary and  acute care facility that also offers behavioral health  services located in Old Orchard Beach Maine. This allows me  Lourie Swimm,  Family Nurse Practitioner, and my partner Michael Ivy, LCSW to provide you with high quality, affordable health care services for the entire family without the constraints of set appointment times. I see all ages from newborn to the older adult. We have expanded services to include behavioral health and case management.

Shalom House Inc.

Shalom House helps hundreds of people with serious mental illness each year by providing an array of community-based mental health services and a choice of affordable quality housing where people can escape the stress of homelessness, hunger, and isolation.

York County Shelter Programs, Inc. (YCSP)

York County Shelter Programs offers housing in an emergency shelter, two Family Welcoming Centers, a community farm, and at twenty-six houses throughout York County. They are committed to ending homelessness and assisting people to reach their fullest potential by providing access to various levels of housing, personal growth opportunities and community resources.
