Description:
Co-occurring conditions are the expectation, not the exception, for people who are entering the behavioral health system. This presentation will highlight the interrelationship between mental health and substance use for those entering the 3.7 ASAM Level of Care. It will share the guidance on co-occurring capable care from the American Society of Medicine (ASAM) and Maine contracting and the basic principles of co-occurring services.

Presenters:
Catherine (Kate) Chichester, APRN, BC, is the Executive Director of the Co-Occurring Collaborative Serving Maine (CCSME). She is an advanced practice nurse with certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing and holds a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration from Georgetown University. |
