This training is designed for experienced clinical supervisors who are hoping to enhance their skills and knowledge. We will cover ethical and legal considerations in supervision, addressing complex clinical cases and supervisee challenges, and explore ways to broaden and deepen your work as a clinical supervisor.
Objectives:
– Learner can articulate the importance of assessing one’s professional growth and development as a clinical supervisor.
– Learner can identify at least two methods for approaching assessment of the supervisory relationship.
– Learner can identify at least two ways for assessing professional growth and change in supervisees.
Presenters:
Dr. Kelli Star Fox earned a DSW from Millersville University, MSW from University of New England and BA from Rutgers University. Kelli is the Director of the Center for Interprofes-sional Innovation (CIPI) at Stony Brook University. Her research interests include best prac-tices for preparing learners to engage in IPE and collaborative practice, as well as exploring the role IPE and faculty modeling play in students’ development of dual professional and IP identities. In addition, Kelli is an adjunct professor of social work for Yeshiva University and has a small business providing professional consultation and workforce development training.
