About the Presenters:

Catherine Chichester, APRN As Executive Director of CCSME, Kate Chichester has led CCSME for the past 25 years, during which time it has been recognized both statewide and nationally for its work to advance co-occurring mental health and substance use integration. Kate has written, directed, and participated in multiple grant-funded projects spanning the areas of behavioral health, integrated health care, criminal justice and evidence-based practices. She is an adjunct faculty at USM and UMA and has provided training and technical assistance across Maine and nationally. Ms. Chichester is an advanced practice nurse with certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing and holds a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration from Georgetown University. Until recently she maintained her clinical skills working in admissions at a local psychiatric hospital.

Georgana Prudhomme, LCSW Georgana has worked on the behavioral health field upon completion of her MSW from Louisiana State University. During the past 30 years, Georgana has worked in both the private and public sector in Senior Management and Middle management roles with several private insurance companies, as a Utilization Reviewer, Account Manager, and Program Director. In her role as an Account Manager with a private insurance company, she worked with a team to aid the State of Maine DHHS services implement Medicaid managed care. Georgana has provided extensive trainings focused on clinical documentation and treatment planning for contracted providers as well as for staff in her public sector roles, Ethics, Cultural Awareness. During her career Georgana has specialized in Trauma treatment including providing DHHS Investigative Interviews and Expert Courtroom Testimony for Sexually Abused Children while living in Connecticut. Substance Use Disorder is another specialty area which she has enhanced through professional training as well as professional work. Georgana holds certifications in LOCUS Training, Teaching Adult Leaners; EMDR; Poly Vagal Theory in the Clinical setting; Somatic Body Work for Clients with Trauma; Art and Yoga; 200-hour Kundalini Yoga and is a Non-Academic Trainer for Muskie Institute teaching MHRTC courses in Community Behavioral Health, Ethics, Mind Body Connection, Cultural Awareness, Mind Body Connection and Trauma and Resiliency.
