  1. . Describe contingency management and the clinical framework of the intervention.
  2. Describe current risk factors related to stimulant use, including medical and mental health consequences and the prevalence of xylazine and fentanyl in stimulant supply.
  3. Understand the process of CM development and implementation in Maine.

Presenters:

Joshua McQueen, LCSW, LADC, CCS

Josh McQueen, LCSW, LADC, CCS is the Program Supervisor for Spurwink Adult Behavioral Health’s Opioid Health Home and Outpatient Therapy Services. Josh developed and currently oversees Spurwink’s Contingency Management pilot program, serving individuals struggling with stimulant use disorder, complex behavioral health needs, and often homelessness. He has worked for Spurwink in Portland’s Bayside neighborhood since 2019.
