This interactive training is designed for professionals, educators, and caregivers who work with children and families impacted by  Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). Grounded in the science of Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) and Positive Psychology, this training provides participants with the skills and understanding needed to foster meaningful connections and promote resilience. The program emphasizes a strengths-based approach, equipping participants with practical tools and evidence-informed strategies to create positive bonds that buffer against adversity and enhance long-term well-being. Participants will explore methods to reinforce protective factors, prevent adverse outcomes, and create supportive environments that prioritize psychological safety, emotional resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand how Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) serve as protective factors for those impacted by AUD and foster resilience.
  2. Learn strategies to build positive bonds and trusting relationships  to support their well-being and growth.
  3. Apply Positive Psychology techniques that promote prevention and emotional resilience in both youth and their families
